designThe process begins with designing your unique invitation. Once you’ve selected a design from our boutique of suites, we’ll work one-on-one together to bring your vision to life.

productionOnce the design is finalized, a specialized letterpress plate is created of your stationery. This plate is pressed onto the paper using an antique press.

shippingBecause each piece is printed by hand, letterpress takes four weeks to complete. Once complete, we’ll pack and ship your stationery to you.

Our letterpress wedding invitation collections are semi-custom. This means that the initial layout and design remain the same to protect the integrity of the original design. But, around here, we understand that every couple is unique. This is why we offer a variety of personalization options to make your suite truly unique.

All of our versatile designs offer paper, printing, ink, and envelope options designed to match a variety of wedding concepts and seasons. Share the specifics.
As you add items to your cart, a pop-up form will appear for you to select custom options, like ink and envelope colors. We’ll contact you after purchase for your wording details. Remember to make your suite truly one-of-a-kind by adding one (or a few!) of our embellishment options–like venue drawings, wax seals, and envelope liners–here.

Get ready to celebrate.
After submitting your order, we’ll work one-on-one together to make sure your invitations are perfect. You’ll receive your first proof within 3 business days after we’ve received guest addresses from you. After you approve all proofs, printing begins! Next, we’ll carefully wrap up your stationery. When your stationery package arrives on your doorstep, you’ll receive detailed instructions for assembly, postage and mailing—and you’ll be one step closer to Mrs.!
Choosing Wedding Paper Options for Letterpress Printing
We’re paper people. To us, the right paper is essential in achieving the desired look and feel of your letterpress wedding invitations. We use Crane’s Lettra paper for our letterpress invitations due to its luxurious feel and ability to hold the impression well.
Cardstock and Paper Weight
Choose between single ply or double thick paper. Single ply, 110lb, is my signature Lettra card stock. Double thick, 220lb, is a rigid card stock twice the thickness of single ply. Upgrade to handmade paper here.
Paper Color
Choose to have your invitations printed on white or ivory paper. Our ivory card stock is a soft-white hue without heavy yellow undertones, and uniquely different from cream or ecru.
Alternatives to Letterpress Wedding Invitations
While we’re obsessed with letterpress printing, we understand that this may not be the best fit for all couples. We’re happy to offer additional options, whether it’s due to budget, time constraints, or wanting a different look for your stationery suite.

The most familiar form of printing—also known as flat printing, is the process of applying ink directly to paper or cardstock resulting in a seamless, or flat, texture on the paper’s surface.
If you are tight on time, digital printing is the quickest print method.

The most luxurious option actually isn’t a printing process at all—similar to letterpress, foil stamping gives your wording a metallic shine without using ink. Each card is hand-pressed with metallic foil using a metal plate.

Our line of embellishments are a client favorite! No matter what print method you choose, adorn your suite with client favorites, like vellum wraps, envelope liners, venue sketches, or wax seals.

We offer two types of silk ribbon–handmade and woven edge. Our handmade ribbon (shown above) has more of an organic feel with its frayed edges and can add a hint of romance to your letterpress invitations.
Optionally, our woven silk ribbon has a clean and polished look, perfect for a classic look.

Wax seals are a client favorite! We have a wide variety of colors and design options to compliment your letterpress invites.
Add them to the back flap of your envelopes or pair them with a vellum wrap for an unforgettable look.

Add a custom wedding venue illustration to any invitation suite or choose to have your venue printed on a details card, response card, envelope liner, wedding program, etc. This adds such a beautiful, sentimental touch to you stationery.
Things to Consider for When to Mail Wedding Invitations
Once you have your letterpress wedding invitations in hand, it's time to decide when to send them out. Generally, we recommend mailing wedding invitations at least two to three months in advance of your event. But, there may be some additional factors that come into play when determining the perfect time to send your invitations.
One of the key factors to consider is the formality of your wedding. Formal weddings typically require more notice, so sending out invitations earlier is recommended.
For formal affairs, it's common to send out invitations three to four months in advance. This gives guests ample time to plan their schedules, make travel arrangements, and secure accommodations if needed.
If you're planning a casual or intimate wedding, sending out invitations two to three months in advance is sufficient. This allows guests to mark their calendars without overwhelming them with too much notice.
If you're having a destination wedding or if many of your guests will be traveling from out of town, it's best to send out invitations earlier to allow for travel arrangements.
Aim to send out destination wedding invitations six months in advance, giving guests enough time to book flights, accommodations, and any necessary time off work.
Additionally, consider any major holidays or events that may coincide with your wedding date. Sending out invitations earlier in these cases is advisable, as your guests may need to make special arrangements.
